An exciting financial services client of ours is seeking to hire a Project Finance Consultant to join their team in Nigeria on a part-time contract. The organization is involved with financial services and trading of commodities worldwide. As a Project Finance Consultant in the organization, you will be involved in several activities including but not limited to assessing technical and financial risk, pre-screening of a natural gas distribution project and transaction recommendations.

 

Responsibilities:

Carry out initial and basic analysis pre-screening of a natural gas distribution project including and not limited to a fatal flaw analysis that encompasses assessing market risk, technical risk, financial risk, sponsor support risk, legal & regulatory risk, environmental risks
Preparation of the project synopsis with recommendations on the next steps of the transaction
Lead the project development initiatives, which includes the development of prefeasibility and feasibility studies, bankability assessment and implementation plans
Draft teaser presentations of the project for clients
Create financing proposals and requests for the project to ensure it conforms to multilateral financial institutions’ eligibility criteria Prepare formal credit/facility application letters to financial institutions

Requirements:

A Degree in Computer Science, Finance, Economics, or Engineering
At least 5 years of experience in the project and infrastructure finance sector, with a proven track record in project development preparing feasibility studies, financial models, hands-on advisory and/or consulting functions, or in an investment related function, developing and closing deals
Familiarity of factoring, structured trade finance, and project-related financing, with considerable knowledge of how these work
Strong, demonstrated understanding and proven hands-on experience in the financing of natural gas pipelines
Outstanding analytical and critical thinking skills; demonstrated ability to synthetize complex information and make concrete strategic and tactical recommendations
Excellent computer skills especially in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

 

Contractual information:

3-month part-time contract
Based in Abuja
